Dr. Frank T. Hawkins Scholarship Award
In honor of Dr. Frank T. Hawkins, the Research Association of Minority Professors (RAMP) has created the Dr. Frank T Hawkins Scholarship Award scholarship, supporting the scholarship of students in higher education. The aim is to offer three $1,500 each.

- To promote access to quality education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
- To promote the spirit of research and creative work among students of color and/or economically disadvantaged.
Guidelines, Requirements and Eligibility
The following guidelines will be used as criteria for the selection process:

- Undergraduate (Sophomore) with at least 2.75 GPA
- Master’s students with at least 3.0 GPA
- Doctoral students with at least 3.2 GPA
Other requirements
- Applicants must submit at least two letters of recommendation with one from a current member of RAMP and another from a faculty member or administrator informing the committee why this person should be awarded the scholarship.
- Applicants must have attended at least one conference.
- Upon being awarded, scholarship recipients must have a form completed by Bursar to verify enrollment and the address where scholarship funds will be sent. Funds will be sent to the institution’s foundation for distribution.
